Center Goals for Children

1. Understand that God has something to say to each person in all life's situations.
2. Learn how to understand what God says through the Bible (and the living Word - Jesus Christ), and through the work of the Holy Spirit with feelings and actions.
3. Become aware that each person is worthy of God's love and the love of other human beings.
4. Grow in assuming personal responsibility for self and others.
5. Develop an ability to communicate effectively with teachers and classmates and to understand and follow simple instructions.
6. Develop a growing concept of the relationship of numbers, time, space and form.
7. Have opportunities for observing and understanding the basic phenomena of weather and seasonal changes.
8. Have opportunities for using materials to develop appreciation of artisitic forms, color and texture.
9. Be introduced to the growth cycle of plants and animals.
10. Develop skills appropriate for the child's particular age level.
11. Develop an awareness of and appreciation for music: sound and rhythm.
12. Experience the loving care of adults whose own lives are examples of Christian commitment.
