Center Goals for Children
- Understand that God has something to say to each person in all life's situations.
- Learn how to understand what God says through the Bible (and the living Word - Jesus Christ), and through the work of the Holy Spirit with feelings and actions.
- Become aware that each person is worthy of God's love and the love of other human beings.
- Grow in assuming personal responsibility for self and others.
- Develop an ability to communicate effectively with teachers and classmates and to understand and follow simple instructions.
- Develop a growing concept of the relationship of numbers, time, space and form.
- Have opportunities for observing and understanding the basic phenomena of weather and seasonal changes.
- Have opportunities for using materials to develop appreciation of artisitic forms, color and texture.
- Be introduced to the growth cycle of plants and animals.
- Develop skills appropriate for the child's particular age level.
- Develop an awareness of and appreciation for music: sound and rhythm.
- Experience the loving care of adults whose own lives are examples of Christian commitment.
