All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.
1 Corinthians 12:27
What is a small group?
It is a group of church attenders that have chosen to meet together for further Bible studies, Christian character studies and to be accountable to one another as we seek to be continually transforming, becoming more like Christ as we do life together.
There are a lot of good reasons to attend small groups. Here are just a few:
1. Friendships. We need good friends who will point us more toward Christ, and one hour on Sunday mornings isn’t enough time to build those friendships.
2. Support. When we’re going through a tough time, others can listen, pray for us, and offer a helping hand.
3. Seeing God in action. When we gather together in small groups, God wants to use us to minister to others in personal, Holy-Spirit-led ways. In small groups we learn to do that. It makes our faith and our God very real when we rely on Him to work through us to minister to others.
4. Learning. Our groups are places to learn about Jesus and the Bible. Sometimes it’s hard to do that on our own, and it’s always helpful to hear others’ insights into God’s truth.
