Tween Time is a fun get-involved program designed for 4th, 5th & 6th graders to learn about God & Faith in an environment that encourages questions, exploring and living what's learned.
Our Sunday morning programs for kids ages 3 - 6th grade are exciting hands-on hour long experiences your kids will enjoy and want to come back for more! We learn to worship God through music & motion, prayer, offerings, Bible story experiences, games, crafts and mission challenges.
I am really looking forward to the next year in Children’s Ministry. Your children are all so amazing. I really enjoy seeing how much the children learn about God and I am always amazed at what they, in return, teach me.
For 2010 I want to work harder at making sure that you are kept informed of what the children are taught at HCC. Below is an outline of the lessons the children will learn in our large group time in 2010. (Our large group time takes place during the first fifteen to twenty minutes of service time.) Each lesson will include a verse to memorize and an example of how they can apply the verse to their daily lives. As we have done in the past, we will make the lessons fun by turning them into prize earning challenges.

A. Discover who God is by…
1. learning that he is their Shepherd, Psalm 23:1
2. knowing that He gave His Son, John 3:16
3. discovering that He is the only way, John 14:6
4. understanding that He loved us first, 1John 4:19
B. Learn about having a relationship with God by…
1. discovering about loving God, Deuteronomy 6:5
2. learning about giving thanks, Psalm 107:1
3. understanding they can trust in the Lord, Proverbs 3:5
4. knowing that Jesus gives them strength, Philippians 4:13
C. Know to live for God by…
1. learning to honor their parents, Exodus 20:12
2. knowing about loving others as they love themselves, Matthew 22:39
3. following Jesus’ example, 1 Corinthians 11:1
4. forgiving others, Ephesians 4:32
Each Sunday our large group time will be followed up by the children dividing into age appropriate small group classes. The small group classes are designed to support the children’s walk with God, through biblical stories and lessons.
